These guidelines explain how law enforcement agencies and government authorities can request information from Truly The One, operated by TRULY THE ONE LLC ("Truly The One," "we," "us," "our"), in connection with official investigations. They also explain what we do, and do not, do proactively to detect and report illegal content.
Truly The One is operated by a single-member LLC. We do not have a dedicated law enforcement response team, a legal department, or a 24/7 operations desk. Requests are handled personally by our operator on a best-effort basis. These guidelines describe the process we follow and are not a guarantee of any particular response time.
We disclose user information to law enforcement only in response to valid, legally sufficient process, or as otherwise required or permitted by applicable law (see Section 6, "Emergency Disclosure Requests," for the exception involving imminent risk of harm).
Depending on the information sought and the requirements of applicable law, valid legal process may include a subpoena, court order, or search warrant. Send all legal process to:

To help us respond, please include:
We may follow up to verify the authenticity of a request before producing any information, including by calling a publicly listed number for the requesting agency.
Depending on the account and the nature of the request, the following general categories of information may be available. This section describes categories only; we do not confirm in advance what specific data exists for a given account before legal process is received and reviewed.
We do not operate automated content scanning or automated CSAM detection systems. We do not proactively monitor messages. Any content we hold (such as reported messages) is retained only as described in our Privacy Policy and is provided only in response to valid legal process or another exception described in these guidelines.
Law enforcement may request that we preserve existing account records pending the issuance of formal legal process. To submit a preservation request, email support@trulytheone.com with the identifying information listed in Section 2 and a description of the records to be preserved. We will make a good-faith effort to preserve the specified records for a reasonable period to allow you to obtain formal legal process. We are a small operation without automated preservation tooling, so please follow up if you have not received confirmation.
In an emergency involving what we believe in good faith presents an imminent risk of death or serious physical injury to a person, we may voluntarily disclose relevant information to law enforcement without legal process, as permitted by applicable law.
To submit an emergency disclosure request, email support@trulytheone.com with:
Because we are a single-member operation without 24/7 staffing, we cannot guarantee immediate availability to respond to an emergency request. If a life may be in immediate danger, law enforcement should also use all other means available, such as local emergency services, in parallel with contacting us.
We report apparent child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and other apparent child sexual exploitation identified through user reports to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), and we cooperate with law enforcement investigations into such conduct. See our Acceptable Use Policy, Section 2 for our policy prohibiting this conduct on the Service. We do not operate automated CSAM detection or scanning tools; apparent CSAM comes to our attention through in-app user reports, which are reviewed by our admin moderation team.
Except where prohibited by law (such as under a valid non-disclosure order) or where we determine, in good faith, that providing notice would risk physical safety, evidence destruction, or otherwise create a risk of harm, we may notify a user that we have received legal process seeking their account information before we disclose it. This is our general practice, not a guarantee in every case; where a request includes a non-disclosure order or a specific request for delayed notice supported by applicable law, we will comply with that order or request.
We only produce user information in response to requests that are valid and legally sufficient under applicable law — for example, a subpoena, court order, or search warrant issued by a court or authority with proper jurisdiction, or another lawful basis such as the emergency exception described in Section 5. We may decline, narrow, or seek clarification of a request that is overbroad, that does not appear to be legally sufficient, or that we cannot verify as authentic. If you have questions about the appropriate form of legal process for the information you are seeking, we encourage you to consult with your agency's legal counsel before submitting a request.
These guidelines should be read together with our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, and Refund Policy. Questions about these guidelines can be directed to support@trulytheone.com.
